Rocking Out in A City of Jazz

With the streets filled with perpetual parties, The Rack stepped out ready to take over the world. They were excited to return to New Orleans to do another show with Punk Black. The last time they were booked it was at Gasa Gasa during Halloween season 2023. This time they performed at Saturn Bar in NOLA. The road to Louisiana was no easy feat. The band drove through heavy rainstorms the majority of their trip but were happy to be greeted by 80 degree whether and the smell of that world famous cuisine.
Two other bands were featured in the show. The River Dragon, another POC band with a soulful blues tone to their rock n roll. They also shared the stage with The Rack during their Halloween show. Another band that was featured by the name Zeta closed the show with a cinematic bang. Their sound was electric! Merging the traditional Venezuelan drums to rock ballads this band stunned the audience.
The Rack were a crowd favorite still showing off their stage presence even in light of the lead singer recovering from an accident. Bass guitarist, Carloes, and lead guitarist Johnny K, brought on the excitement with their undeniable stage charisma. The future looks bright for these legends in the making. The audience was begging for more, but the set was limited to 20 mins to adjust to what Awleen can physically handle as she is healing. The show was definitely not
lacking. The band is now preparing for their next show in Atlanta at Sabbath Brewing Saturday March 18th!
